This exercise will help the student not only to understand the process of conducting a literature review as it is always done in a scholarly paper (i.e., a survey and/or synthesis of previous writings and findings), but also to get acquainted to scholarly writing, paraphrasing and referencing. There should be no more than three type-written double-space pages, not including the reference page(s). Special assignments may include downloading data from various criminal justice/criminology/administration of justice sources to describe or analyze.
