People living in lower income places also tend to be surrounded by less healthy offerings: fast food restaurants with “dollar” menus and corner stores selling snack foods rather than boutique green grocers and farmers’ markets selling fresh produce (Core Topics: Social Determinants/Disparities, 2017).
