Choose a topic from the book “God of Small Things” and “The secret history.” Choose no more than three characters from each text. You must use characters from two texts. You must choose at least one character from GOST. Keep your choices in logical alignment with your topic–in other words, avoid choosing characters that do not interact with the topic you intend to explore. Construct a scene that places your characters in dialogue with one another about the chosen topic. The end goal here is to write a complete act or scene that could be performed in front of an audience. This means you must describe your setting/stage, account for character entrances and exits, decide who speaks (and when), and generally control the action much like a director does.
