 I wish to bring to your attention of an unfortunate event that occurred and my plan of action to address it. Sadly, I learned this morning that two of our colleagues are presenting patient counsel contrary to our agreed-upon plan of care. As a provider and team member, I’m very concerned about the health impact this may have on our patients, their safety and health outcomes, our team’s morale, organizational reputation, and culture as well as its impact on our community at large. This behavior is contrary to our organizational culture, mission, goals, and does not support team comradery, therefore needs to be addressed.

            As you are aware, the sustainability of our organizational success depends on our effective and efficient workforce (Hussein & Yesiltas, 2020). This requires a positive work environment that works towards a shared common goal. This incident that occurred is not reflective of our organizational expectations. I have devised a plan of care to address the incident with the staff involved using the transformational leadership framework as my guide. Transformational leadership is a theory that allows me as a leader to positively impact my employees, encouraging them to work towards the common objective of our organization, setting aside individual goals, while motivating creativity, teamwork, and innovations among them (Shafi et al, 2020).  Using this framework, I’ll first speak with the employees involved to find out the reason for their actions. I’ll outline the organizational goals that promote teamwork and positivity.  I’ll provide a vision of continuous improvement that supports high-performance expectations and innovations providing them with the necessary support as needed (Zhang et al., 2020).  This plan of action will motivate the employees to work zealously and achieve the organizational objectives while promoting unity and a positive work environment.
