Please write a police report based on the newspaper account incident, using the outline process mentioned in the chapter. (Page 79 “Structuring the narrative”)
A sample of a “Narrative Police Report” is located under Week 3: Required Resources.
Please remember, all reports are in chronological order. The opening paragraph of a police report states the time, date and type of incident, and how the police officer/investigator became involved, the next paragraph contains information obtained from the victim or witness. Next, record what happened based on the information received and the final paragraph states the disposition of the case.
