Policy and Procedure Development
Write a policy and procedure for safeguarding the work space of a staff member working in HIM. You may choose which job function to write the policy/procedure for, such as for a coder or ROI clerk. Consider all of the privacy and security issues surrounding the work performed, along with all technical safeguard concerns. Prepare a policy and procedure for securing the work space to be distributed to all new hires and to also be issued annually as a reminder to current staff.
