Here is the directions
Students must submit a short proposal and tentative bibliography. The proposal should be at least 5 sentences (i.e., one paragraph) in length. It must be accompanied by a properly formatted bibliography that includes at least 2 primary sources or 1 primary source collection with multiple sources on the topic. Furthermore, it must include at least 3 secondary sources that are either books from academic presses or peer-reviewed articles.
You do not need to have acquired these sources by the time the bibliography is submitted, but they should be available via the Auraria library, Prospector, or Interlibrary Loan. You are highly encouraged to acquire them as soon as possible, since there are often delays in deliveries from other libraries.
Citation Formatting
While historians generally use Turabian formatting for bibliographies, you are welcome to use other formatting styles with which you are more familiar, provided that you state at the beginning of the bibliography which formatting style you use and use it correctly and consistently.
Grading of the Proposal and Bibliography
The proposal and bibliography will together receive a maximum of 50 points, or 5% of your final grade. Points are assigned as follows:
