Rough draft Due Sunday 7/30/2017 at 10:00 am

Note, the Rough Draft is not graded on a letter basis, but on a three-tier system that enables the student to focus more on future areas for improvement in the Final Draft as opposed to letter grade achievement at this stage of the drafting process.

15 Points – Meets Requirements: Rough draft requirements from rubric are satisfied to the highest level. At least 4 required sources are used strongly, including 2 peer reviewed journal articles within 5 years of this year, and primary response article. (Note that 5 required resources are needed for the Final Draft). All sources have named authors and are credible and relevant. Works Cited or References list and in-text, parenthetical citation is used correctly for APA with strong prose, unified paragraph development, and transitions between paragraphs. Quote integration strongly follows the Quoting Guidelines given below.

12.5 Points – Good Progress: Rough draft meets many of the first draft requirements from rubric / Assignment though not all are met or as met as strongly as they could be.

10.5 Points – Work Needed:  Draft does not meet the majority of the Rough Draft Requirements from rubric / Assignment or has substantive issues that must be addressed before submission of the Final Draft.
