The Prospectus that is due at the end of this week, Week 7, is a short (1 or 2 paragraphs) worth 20 points and should tell me your topic, why you selected it, three potential sources, what you hope to learn. Submit to the assignment folder.
Your research paper itself is a 3-5 page paper on a topic of your choice – it can be an event, trend, theme, or person. It must be US History and it must be mostly before 1877.
MLA, APA, or Chicago Style are all acceptable as to format.
You need at least 3 sources (books, longer Articles, or Competent Websites)
You will write a paper that tells me what those sources say about your topic. you might selects a compare and contrast style if you wish. Be sure to highlight the main themes, thesis or arguments that your sources make in the paper you submit.
