Discussion Topic 1. “Talking Trash” and/or “The Singer Solution to World Poverty.” Pick one of the two essays we’re reading this week to focus on. Tell us the following:
(1) What is the writer’s thesis?
(2) How does he support it (logic, evidence, etc.)?
(3) In a TSIS sort of way, juxtapose/compare your opinion about the topic (trash or world poverty) with the Rooney’s or Singer’s claim(s).
(4) Tell us a bit more about why you believe the way you do about the topic, maybe bringing in some evidence and/or concrete description and examples to help us really “see” what you’re talking about.
