I’m working on a film discussion question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Clinical research in nursing ethics is in high demand due to the growing interest in nursing ethics. When there were pressures on research and patient premiums, and specialists and nurses disagreed on the decision, the nurses sometimes decided to follow the specialists’ recommendation, going against their own moral judgment. As a result of the circumstances, the nurses appeared to be filled with moral angst. They portrayed their calling as ‘undetectable,’ with few opportunities to develop moral skills. Finally, research nurses are frequently confronted with extreme and troubling moral quandaries in their daily work.
Clinical research has become more diverse, with scholarly foundations, clinician-researchers in network settings, drug organizations, and agreement research associations all participating. This progression has been accompanied by growing concerns about the moral direction of research. Much of this concern has been directed toward procedural issues such as institutional review board (IRB) review, information verification, and educated assent structures. In any case, the security of human subjects cannot be achieved solely through procedural safeguards. There are more nuanced issues identified with subject enlistment and retention, as well as the cycle of educated consent, that are created during communication between study staff and subjects.
Response to discussion post above
In your discussion response, provide a substantive response that illustrates a well-reasoned and thoughtful response. Reflective posts provide you an opportunity to think back on the concepts and materials you reviewed for the week. A reflection is a method for personal growth. A reflection post can help answer questions, such as, “How has my thinking changed this past week?”, “How can I use the concepts or relationships from the course readings and course content in my practice?” Reflection enhances personal and professional growth by making connections to previous course content and/or presenting novel ideas and insights.
