The film, “Spotlight,” covered the journalistic team at the Boston Globe that broke the story about child abuse in the Catholic Church; however, this clip touches on a much larger issues: the tendency of people to “look the other way.” Why is Michael Keaton asked to “kill” the story because the people of Boston might not like to read about the church in an unfavorable light. How does the film address the theme of the need to address social justice? What often holds people back?
