I think that CIO’s should develop reasoned responses driven by the company objectives because they are in charge of the IT department. Everything service they provide is to support the business and help the business meet its goal. The CIO is the face and voice of the IT department so that means everything they do or say will be looked at and taken in consideration.
Explain how IT strategy facilitates organizational decisions that are related to the forces that shape the role of IT within an organization (consider domestic and global environments).
IT strategy helps facilitates organizational decisions because it makes sure that the business goals and strategy can be realized through the technology and investments it provides in the company’s infrastructure. To compete in the new world of dynamic and disrupted digital markets organizations need to be able to operate at the speed of digital; they need to be able to respond quickly and easily to changing market conditions, customer preferences or competitor activity.
