In 1786, facing seizure of their land, farmer Daniel Shays led a “mob” of angry, debt-ridden farmers against the judicial establishment in western Massachusetts.
Our goal with this project is to use primary sources that both condemn and defend Shays and his followers in an effort to better understand debates surrounding the strength of government following the American Revolution.
Next, prepare a 300-500 word response addressing the questions listed at the bottom of each slide (4 questions total).
