Element “x” exists in three different solid forms (A,b and c). Forms a is a brittle solid. If a chuck of it hits with a hammer it will shatter into little pieces of different sizes. Form b when hit by a hammer will not shatter but will split into two even pieces along a line perpendicular to the direction it was hit. Form c can be made from form b under extremely high pressure and temperature followed by decreasing both the temperature and pressure to normal levels. Form c cannot be cracked by a hammer. Assume delta G is zero for form a.
