An actively occurring event related to physical geography in the form of wildfires recently took place on Monday in Gatlinburg, Tennessee State. The fire that is reported to have started in the afternoon began from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and swelled increasingly to the nearby communities. Strong winds traveling at speeds of approximately 90 mph distributed small fragments of burning wood through lengthy distances setting fires that consumed drought-afflicted trees.
