This assignment will be fairly research intensive. You will locate a primary source of your choosing and analyse its historical importance. This document can be any topic, but must relate to content that we discussed in class. This document will be compared to general knowledge of the same subject matter. For example, if you choose a document about a specific enslaved woman and her life experiences, you will compare her personal story to the general knowledge of slavery in your textbook and in other online sources. You will complete and submit a summary of your findings, the 6 C’s worksheet, and a works cited page.
There are many different types of primary documents. Below I have attached several sheets to help get you started. Please use these as guides to build your own project and refer to your syllabus for additional information.
