Watch the three videos listed below that provide a very brief overview of both the history of poverty in the United States and the invention/ evolution of moving image technology.

Once you have viewed and listened to all three, choose one short excerpt (no more than a minute in length) from the third film, titled Poverty Films 1930s-1960s (链接到外部网站。), and write a short essay (250-300 words/ 1 page single space or 2 pages double spaced) in which you describe the poverty you see depicted on screen and the ways in which it is depicted. End your short essay with a comment on the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of the representation of poverty in your chosen clip.

As this is the first time that most of you will have attempted an assignment like this, I do not expect your ideas to be perfect. It is most important that you show an attempt to analyze both the content and style of your chosen clip. I have attached a sample analysis essay
