Problem: Product Packaging,
The packaging line shown below consists of boxes filled manually by cans of soft drink. The boxes then pass through a roller conveyor where they will be counted using a photo sensor (phase 1). Afterwards, the boxes will be closed using two robot manipulators (Phase 2). Finally, the boxed will be placed into a container (phase 3). The capacity of the container is 10 boxes. Notice that, the manipulator is controlled by its own program to tape up the box. The whole process should have a start button, stop button, and emergency stop.
1. Propose a PLC ladder diagram for such a system.
2. Propose and realize an embedded solution (using Arduino for example) for this packaging system
