Project Description: The session long project (SLP) consists of an investigation of a country: it can be either an industrialized country (other than the United States), or an advanced developing country (like China); please do not choose a developing country (like Iraq). The relationship between the country’s health and demographics will be addressed.

SLP #1: Identify your selected country and answer the following questions:

1. Provide a “snapshot” description of your selected country. Include its geographic characteristics, majority and minority cultural groups. Describe the country size in square miles or square kilometers, the current population and population density, and the population size of the largest city.

2. What year was the most recent census done? Is it periodic or continuous and how is it accomplished?
