Using a sentence/comment from the week 3 podcasts or materials, and focusing on any place except the US, find a digital source on the UCR library webpage that tells you something about its history between 1920-1929. Follow these steps:
download the campus vpn: here https://its.ucr.edu/newVPN
 log on to library.ucr.edu
search through the library databases , some of them, like jstor , and the hathi trust will give you access to digitized scholarly journal articles. Others, like World Newsreel Online gives you access to historical newsreels – which are amazing primary sources with which to see history as people experiencing it would have seen it. But remember to first connect through the VPN – that is your portal to this wealth of info.
choose one of these sources – and write a 150 word report on what you learnt from it. Tell us what source you are using – cite it so we know where to find it too. Do you think it’s a primary source or a secondary source? What did you learn from it?
Make sure you underline the sentence/comment in the podcasts you are using as your inspiration for the research, for extra enjoyment/silliness/credit provide us with a performance/ image/ song/ poem/ tiktok/ rap/ dance that you think conveys your experience of working in the library this way.
