Course Outcome:

IT530-2: Explore a centralized server architecture (Client-Server Model).

Purpose

Network management entails a broad range of functions including activities, methods, procedures and the use of tools to administrate, operate, and reliably maintain computer network systems. This lab will give you hands-on knowledge of the role that Active Directory plays as a tool for centrally managing a network.

Lab Instructions

Complete the Jones & Bartlett Lab “Configuring an Active Directory Domain Controller.”

Note: For this lab, you will be asked to provide login credentials in the virtual environment. To assist you, please access this document: Lab 3 Password Instructions

The manual will provide detail and the tips are a very abbreviated reference.

Use the lab instructions, given within the lab’s virtual environment, as a guide for what to submit and save your lab results as a Word document. You should use your lab results to complete the Lab 3 Assessment Questions. Make sure to include your answers to the Assessment Questions in your lab document file.
