T his week we are continuing on with our building block approach. We are going to explain effects-based appraisal.
Effects Based Appraisals are common tools for Personnel Performance Reviews and the Department of Defense. Effects-based Appraisal should address these two points:
Is the team doing the right thing? This point addresses the merit of the program. The program should create or bring value to the organization if it is acting in accordance with the organization’s objective.
Is the team doing things right? This point addresses are we following the rules and guidelines to achieve the organization’s final objective.
So, you questions for this week is;
What is Effects Based Appraisal and how does Effects Based Appraisal?
Give some examples from your own work experience if you have some. That is what helps make these forum interesting.
If you are unsure, then lets dig a little into some sources, any of your text books, from this or other classes will do. So, as we often do, we turn to the Internet of Things and see what issues are out there. Oh, there are basic definitions. But, what are the real issues or problems with Effects Based Approach? Can you find one?
