Organizational Development and Change (Cumming 2014) state that the management and leadership programs are essential to the OD process because it educates the OD practitioner with the necessary skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to adequately equip the employees with the tool and practices that will benefit them in the organization. I cannot sufficiently answer the second part of this question, on relating a personal experience participating in the management and leadership programs because I have never been nor have involved in any of these things. How you phrased this question assumes that everyone has been in a managerial/leadership role so, I am not sure.
