What types of information, including economic, would you need to acquire, and how might you obtain it in order to determine how effective that policy has been? What method(s) might be useful in investigating the specific environmental policy you chose? Pick two sources from the “Sample Sources for Comparing Different Evaluations of Environmental Policies” (see Reading Tab) and discuss how that source might evaluate the success of the policy.
You have been tasked with analyzing a policy suggestion to reduce the use of plastic bags in retail stores and markets. What is the issue? (Think critically about this as it may not be as obvious as it first seems.) Should there be a reduction in the use of plastic bags? What evidence do you base your decision on?
