I need support with this Communications question so I can learn better.
All of us experience barriers to listening. Review the different types of barriers to listening (e.g., noise
factors, other-centered perceptual factors, and individual factors). Identify one factor or item from each
of the three categories that you see most frequently as you interact with others. What examples come
to mind? What might we do to overcome these diverse barriers to listening when we notice them?
How might you use these ideas in class and in other aspects of your life?
Write a reflection to these questions. As you critique speeches this round, think about how you can
work to limit the barriers you may have to listening to the speeches of others.
