Objective: Explain how employment law provides rights to employees and employers, and the steps employers must take to comply with employment law.
Introduction This essay will allow you to demonstrate your understanding of various areas of employment law. You will describe “at-will” employment, explain limitations on employers under the Americans with Disabilities Act, articulate the requirements of employers to be in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act and describe the limitations and delimitations of the use of drug testing by employers. By being able to explain these areas of employment law, you will internalize your knowledge and be a more effective manager. Deliverable The essay for this lesson is required to be a minimum of 750 words that clearly demonstrates your understanding of the activity. Essays should have a clear introduction, thesis statement and conclusion, written in APA format (APAstyle.org). A minimum of three sources must be cited in-text and in the Reference list.
