Individual assignment – NOT a group
Describe what you personally can do to address the environmental challenges we talked about. It can be actions you’ve already taken, or actions you would consider taking in the future.
It should be personal actions that YOU can take (like turning off lights when you leave the room), NOT actions that only government can take (like passing stricter environmental laws. You could, however, mention contacting your Congressional representatives to advocate passage of stricter laws, because that is a personal action you could take).
Consider the various environmental areas we have discussed – traditional air pollutants and climate change, water quality, solid waste, etc. Explain why you chose that action and what issue it addresses.
Site a web site if you discuss particular information (e.g. a particular brand of low energy light bulb), but you don’t need to if the idea is generally to install lightbulbs that consume less energy.
