Week 2: Wetlands/National Park Assignment

(based on UCertify section 4.5)

Choose one of the following options:  

1. Wetlands Assignment: An informal 2-3 page paper or memo outlining the threats to and mitigation efforts of a wetland in the southeastern United States
2. Conservation/Preservation in National Parks: Perform research in the EU Online Library or from other reputable sources online on either the conservation or preservation methods used in a national park of your choice. Compile a list of these methods. Accompany your list with your reflections and analysis of your park’s efforts at such initiatives as maintaining genetic or species diversity, controlling invasive species, and so forth. Provide an analysis of how your park may need to alter its methods over time.
