Innovation of the game strategy for tokens/wins/memorabilia by applying 4 design phases

Immersion:

In the previous report, the hunger game was introduced as the goal to engage in the adventures and users must survive by themselves, there are different storylines to go through, also different characters for users to role-playing. These are the basic skills and how the client showing the in-game performance. The poor scalability of a game may cause the loss of players, every game design needs to avoid this problem in the future, but we will keep the game goal as the core of the design, deeply goes to game fantasy and the challenges of the game, our team will be adding elements and features considering about the extensibility and flexibility of the game.

Analysis:

As the purpose of attracting players and minimize the amount of losing players, the new creation of functions such as events, ranked mode features are what we needed.

Ideation:

Improving the whole game environment to gain more purchase of the game. To increase the profit of in-game purchase, limited items or limit time collecting events are considered to add. It is great to present game scores or the method we give scores to let players know and improve their skills, challenges are also attractive for the players who wants to achieve good result. In Figure1 below shows the elements we might improve on, such as adding more scenarios/storylines, games rules, game modes, more sound effects. Additionally, to respect players from different cultures, we will be also implementing extra language packs for UI/Audio.

Prototyping:

Although there are full of ideas in game designing, there are only few things we can handle and work on, especially point to the tokens/wins/memorabilia, we have chosen three ideas to go further:

Store System: for players who completed one match making without quitting from any part of the progress, they will be gaining tokens to unlock different items, for the items such as different looking, which usually named “skins”, extra cost or boost items in future matches, of course, for making profits, in-game purchases such as straight buying tokens are allowed, but limited each week, since we are offering to mainly about 16 ages.

Rank System: Rank mode may gain more tokens after players finish each game, also evaluate the player performance, provide a rank score for each player. To attract more players joining ranked matches, bonus token drops, and rank mode limited items will be also released, also players who keeping highest scores will be showing their nickname in the top of the ladder, which every player can see, and nearly every player wants to achieve.

Monthly/Seasonally/Yearly or Holiday Events:

To create innovation, we cannot always keep everything same in the lobby. Different events are great ways to keep full of vitality in the game, give the rules such as causing extra/ limited items drops, and new items related to the event theme will be released, worldwide holiday events are also showing respect to different cultures.
