The topic of my Research paper is,Role of federal funding for mitigation projects.
Mitigation requires a proactive thinking attitude about disaster response. The plan is to research and identify the different types of federal funding available to jurisdictions and communities to develop and implement mitigation projects. Equally the paper will examine the requirements for federal funding for mitigation projects and the steps involved in applying for funding. In this paper the key questions to be asked and answered are:
What are federal funding programs available for mitigation projects?
What types of projects are eligible to receive federal funding?
What are the costs/ share requirements to receive the funding?
What is the process to receive the funding?
What conditions are attached to receiving federal funding?
Do hazard mitigation projects increase community resilience?
