It also includes our use of social media like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. Additionally, the term “media use” for this essay includes entertainment media, such as films, novels, and theater (many people learn about historical event or other life experiences through these media, whether it’s a drama about World War II, a novel about growing up poor in the South, or a play that addresses child abuse). As you analyze your own media use, you need to write about these types of “public affairs news media.”
